Get To A Gun reaches new heights!

Here we go ladies and gentlemen! Get To A Gun has officially been uploaded to Steam! It will still take a couple weeks to reach the public but we’re eager to drop some much needed and exciting content on you showing off more of the game!

There’s actually 2 sets of content being released, the slideshow contains slightly older yet still new and fresh game imagery while the latest trailer hits pretty hard on some of the newest features some of them being climbing, explosions, improved enemy AI, more platforming and stranded survivors who you as the game’s protagonist will be collecting.

There’s also been a pretty hefty update to the processing and the game now includes a day and night system complete with rainy days, thunder and some beautiful looking clouds!

On top of all that a functioning menu system and while it just currently has basic functions to control the game it will be expanded upon as well.

This was the big content update we kept promising was coming out soon, it took us a little bit longer than we thought (about 1 week longer) but we’re devoted to not only fine tuning Get To A Gun as a game but also pushing it’s limits.

These updates to the game are just beginning and there’s some pretty amazing stuff planned ahead that we will keep away from the public until they become functional. We don’t like selling promises after all, we like delivering on our word as game developers!

So if you had concerns about this being “just another get rich quick asset flip” we’re very happy to prove you wrong. This game has been in the making for about 8 months now and it’s just now reaching  a point where the public is able to see the early stages.

We’re really trying to build a good image as an indie game developer company but we can’t really become great without hearing it from you fine guys & gals! So why not locate us on one of your favorite social platforms (links can be found to the right. We’d be more than happy to hear from you and join the conversation, give your 2 cents and tell us what you think!

This is the end of major updates for about another month, we’ll keep you posted on some new things but the real game changers won’t be let out until they’re functioning in game as they should be.

Also please understand that the game is still basically in an alpha state technically compared to what is to come in the future, what we’re offering right now is you a chance to watch the game grow and give you the opportunity to be a part of the game’s development!

This is a pretty big milestone for Get To A gun and there will be more in the future!

Get To A Gun update

I’d just like to take a moment and send out a textual update on what’s happening behind the scene.

As of right now the AI code is being re-written to be more robust and refined making it easier for the development side. Really there isn’t much to say there but i’ll add it in this update anyway.

Next on the list is as promised there will be interactive game-play elements in the next update so be excited for that! Really looking forwards to showing that off very soon as it adds a whole new level of depth to the game.

Also in the next content update you will get to see how weapons are acquired.  As of this point you’ve only got to see a small slice of game footage and while Get To A Gun is basic in it’s execution, there is more to it then that.

After the next content update there’s still another level of immersion that will be added or more like bells and whistles which will probably be the final alpha update before the game goes into beta and into early access.

Everything is still on track and going peachy!

Get To A Gun Development footage (trailer)

Hello again everyone! Just bringing you some fresh updates on the development of Get To A Gun!

We’ve really taken things to a new level (literally) with the direction development has gone, while we don’t have footage of these specific new advancements we figured you’d like to see some new footage, particularly the new alpha trailer. New video footage of new features coming very soon!

It may show a lot of the same from the old trailer and you’re right to think so, however if you look closely you may see some improvements to npc count and behavior.

We’re working hard on ensuring Get To A Gun (GTAG) gets what it needs to be fun and who knows better than what’s fun than you! Please feel free to stop by and give us your feedback. You can contact us through many methods (Facebook, Discord, Twitter etc) which can be found on the right hand sidebar of the site! We love getting your feedback!
